Roads
The roads sector in the Europe Region constitutes around 70% of
Scott Wilson’s operations in this region. Our leading
specialisation is road and bridge design and we are currently
involved in a large number of design projects in our key centres in
Poland, Lithuania and Ukraine. Additionally, we provide road
construction supervision services for national and local
authorities as well as private investors. Other services that Scott
Wilson provides in Europe include the management of complex
transport studies, traffic modelling and forecasting for all modes
of transport and their mutual integration.
Through the acquisition of Transprojekt
Poznań, one of the leading design companies in Poland, Scott Wilson
has combined its extensive international experience with in-depth
local knowledge and expertise. For many years we have been involved
in the largest road and bridge construction projects in Poland.
Since the accession the region states to the European Union we have
delivered a large number of projects co-financed from EU funds in
the area of road and bridge design, transport planning and
construction supervision. The organisation of EURO 2012
championships that are to be hosted jointly by Poland and Ukraine
will provide Scott Wilson with new opportunities as there is a
large number of projects planned in the transport sector for
completion within the coming years.
We employ the best specialists, we have modern
computer networks and facilities in place and our own geological
laboratory. The extensive experience of our highly specialised
professionals allows us to develop sustainable and cost effective
design solutions. In construction supervision we provide teams of
experts including resident engineers, road designers, bridge
engineers as well as other specialists. In the area of transport
planning we have professional, multi-disciplinary teams that are
skilled in the area of transportation studies comprising economic
analysis and feasibility studies of transport investments, complex
traffic modeling as well as pedestrian modeling and studies of city
transport systems.
