Noise and Vibration

Undertaking acoustic measurements of various types of noise,
whether related to transport or industrial sources, has become an
indispensable part of each new project. Our team of experts is
involved in drafting acoustic maps of roads and railways, and
finding methods to limit noise emission and reception, for example
by using alternative road surfaces or by constructing acoustic
screens.
We provide our clients with information on the current and
forecast acoustic conditions identifying excessive noise levels and
the relative sources, and proposing measures to mitigate noise
emission and reception.
We benefit from the use of computer-aided design (CAD) and
Geographical Information System (GIS) technology, and operate
internationally recognised computer prediction software to enable
fast and cost-effective noise and vibration predictions.
For measurement and monitoring, the team have a full range of
sound level meters with environmental and frequency analysis
capability and dedicated vibration measurement equipment. In
addition, the team has all the required equipment to carry out
building noise insulation tests to the requirements of local and
national regulations. All instrumentation is kept up to date and
calibrated to the appropriate standards.
