Wastewater treatment and disposal includes sewerage and drainage
networks, wastewater treatment works, sludge treatment and
disposal, and outfalls to rivers and seas.
Scott Wilson has expertise in all of these areas, and at all
scales – from specifying a simple, cost-effective package plant for
a new development to a city-wide wastewater strategy plan or a
regional sludge strategy. Our technical services include civil and
structural engineering, electrical and mechanical, process, project
and programme management, and health and safety.
Scott Wilson provides a start-to-completion service which can
include any or all of the following stages:
- Network modelling
- Strategic plans
- Pre-feasibility, feasibility, outline and detailed design
- Tender and contract documents, including traditional, design
and construct and PFI
- Contract administration and site supervision
- Commissioning and audit
- Due diligence assessment for lenders, funders and
purchasers
- Clients include water utility companies, contractors, local and
regional government and water authorities and developers
As well as design of more traditional solutions such as
wastewater treatment works, our expertise in this sector includes
water recycling schemes, odour control, sustainable drainage
systems, and the ability to integrate wastewater engineering with
water quality modelling, ecology and land-use management to provide
a catchment management service which meets the needs of the EU
Water Framework Directive.
