Bridge Services

Scott Wilson provides stand alone Bridge Engineering Services
for external clients and also as part of major transportation
projects being delivered by the wider Scott Wilson group.
A'one-stop-shop' design service is provided for road, rail and
river crossings both within the UK and Internationally.
Scott Wilson's Bridge Engineering Services team provides design
support to Scott Wilson's UK and International transportation
projects. Highways projects are often generally procured
through Design & Build or more recently through Early
Contractor Involvement (ECI) methods and the bridge design team
develops designs from conceptual engineering during Phase 1 through
to detailed design and preparation of construction drawings during
Phase 2. Close collaboration with the contractor and other
parties is a key element of the success experienced on many
projects.
Bridge design for railway projects has complexities associated
with control of dynamic effects, appraisal of track/structure
interaction loading, provision of services and stray current
corrosion etc. Scott Wilson's Bridge Engineering Services
team is experienced in the design of railway bridges and
understands the complex interfacing problems associated with the
multidisciplinary requirement for major railways projects.
In addition to major UK and International projects, bridge
design and maintenance services are also provided for smaller scale
projects to Local Authorities and private clients. All of
