Executive Committee
The Executive Committee has a key role in
supporting the Group Chief Executive in the performance of his
duties, including delivering the annual business plan, implementing
the Main Board’s five year strategic plan and successfully
delivering the Group’s strategic objectives having regard to the
interests of its shareholders, customers, employees and other
stakeholders.
HUGH BLACKWOOD, GROUP CHIEF EXECUTIVE

Hugh Blackwood joined Scott Wilson in 1971 and
developed his career as a civil engineer in the road and rail
sectors. He was made a partner in the business in 1989. In 1995
Hugh led the acquisition of the former British Rail engineering
offices in Swindon and Glasgow and took on the role of Chief
Executive Officer of the UK Railways Division. In May 2005 Hugh was
appointed Joint Chief Executive of the Scott Wilson Group charged
with the continued successful growth of the International and UK
Railways Divisions. In May 2008 Hugh became Group Chief
Executive.
SEAN CUMMINS, FINANCE DIRECTOR
Sean was
appointed Finance Director and a member of the Scott Wilson Main
Board on 1 October 2007. From 1999 to 2007 he was the Group Finance
Director of Yule Catto & Co plc, a leading speciality chemical
company. Sean qualified as a chartered accountant with Price
Waterhouse (now Price Waterhouse Coopers), before joining Invensys
plc where he held a number of roles including UK Finance Director
of Hawker Batteries Group and Divisional Controller of BTR Power
Systems.
JOHN HORGAN, GROUP MANAGING DIRECTOR, INTERNATIONAL REGIONAL
OPERATIONS
John joined Scott Wilson in 2006 when the Group acquired
Cameron Taylor Group, of which he was joint founder and CEO. He was
Global Head of Property before being appointed to the position of
Managing Director of International Regional Operations in May
2009.
JEROME MUNRO-LAFON, GROUP MANAGING DIRECTOR, UK & IRELAND
OPERATIONS
Jerome joined Scott
Wilson in 1977 and has 25 years’ experience in the business. His
experience encompasses a wide variety of public transport systems
including LRT, railways, mass transit and (guided) bus services. He
also has extensive knowledge of transport planning and traffic
engineering in urban environments including Birmingham and the West
Midlands.
MARK BEW, BUSINESS INFORMATION SYSTEMS

Mark joined Scott Wilson in July 2007 from
Costain Group plc where he held the position of Business Systems
Director between 2001 and 2007. From 1987 and 2001 he held a number
of roles with John Laing and Kvaerner Construction. Mark is a
Chartered Engineer and Vice Chairman of Building Smart.
STEVE BRUNDLE, STRATEGIC CONSULTANCY

Steve joined Scott Wilson in 1978. Steve is
the Managing Director of the Group's Strategic Consultancy
business. A civil engineer by background, he has spent much of his
career involved in the management of major infrastructure projects,
for which he has received industry-wide recognition. On being made
a director in 1996, Steve created a new project management
business. He went on to establish the Group's management
consultancy arm, specialising in investment risk.
NICOLA CARROLL, SECRETARY

Nicola joined Scott Wilson in 2003. A Chartered Secretary, she
has considerable experience gained predominantly from within fully
listed plcs. She is responsible for the management of the Group’s
share schemes, secretary to a number of Group companies and has
responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the
Secretariat.
GEORGINA CORBETT, HR

Georgina joined Scott Wilson in July 2002. Prior to that,
Georgina was at Unigraphics Solutions (UGS) and Compaq Computer
Limited. Georgina’s previous experience includes managing
acquisitions and integration from a HR perspective. She also has
much HR expertise in newly floated and public companies.
SIMON DAVIES, ASIA-PACIFIC

Simon joined Scott Wilson in 1978. He has been based in
Indonesia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam. He formed a
key international centre in Hong Kong on his return in 2001. He has
unrivalled experience of directing and implementing privatised
waste management projects and managing transport-related
infrastructure projects, especially design-build-operate
schemes.
ROBIN HAWLEY, ENVIRONMENT & NATURAL RESOURCES

Robin joined Scott Wilson in 1999, and was a Director of Scott
Wilson Railways for seven years. Since 2006 Robin has been the
Commercial Director of International Division and responsible for
the development of the Natural Resources Sector of the business.
Robin is a Chartered Engineer and a Panel Engineer under the
Reservoirs Act 1975.
SIMON HINDSHAW, EUROPE

Simon joined Scott Wilson in 1986. He moved to Warsaw in 2003 to
lead the development of the Group's operations in Central and
Eastern Europe in to one of its key international regional
businesses. He is now responsible for all the company’s operations
in mainland Europe together with a number of operations in Africa.
Simon has extensive experience in the planning and delivery of
infrastructure projects primarily in the road, rail and urban
transport sectors for both public and private sectors.
RONNIE HUNTER, GROUP PERFORMANCE

Ronnie joined Scott Wilson in 1973. He has 36 years’ experience
on the design, promotion, procurement and supervision of road
schemes in the UK and overseas. He has been responsible for
developing and managing the business in Scotland and Ireland.
CHRIS JENNISON, ROADS

Chris joined Scott Wilson Pavement Engineering in 1989. His
early experience was gained at British Nuclear Ltd, where he
obtained his site training and thereafter he moved into the field
of highway design. He worked predominantly in road design, highway
maintenance, network management and site supervision of trunk roads
and motorways during a 10-year spell with Nottingham County
Council.
MARTIN NIELSEN, MIDDLE EAST

Martin joined Scott Wilson in 1977 and has experience of major
road, rail, port and airport infrastructure projects from around
the world, including eight years resident in Africa, Asia and the
Pacific. He has experience running the group's rail and business
development activities, and has acted as Commercial Director for a
large part of the UK operations.
JOHN NUTT, GLOBAL INTEGRATION

John joined Scott Wilson in 1974. He has 33 years’ experience,
working across all sectors and on projects in over 80 countries,
with periods of residence in the Middle East, Africa and Asia
Pacific on major transportation and infrastructure projects. John
established Scott Wilson Pavement Engineering Ltd in 1985 and has
continued to establish new operations including Mainland Europe and
mining in Canada.
CD PURI, INDIA

CD joined Scott Wilson in 2003. He has been responsible for the
rapid development of the business in India and has vast local
knowledge and expertise. From the headquarters in New Delhi, he
manages 3 offices and 33 project offices with over 600 staff.
JOHN TUBMAN, BUILDINGS & INFRASTRUCTURE

John joined Scott Wilson in 1990. He has 28 years' experience,
primarily in the design and construction of buildings, bridges and
other civil engineering structures. John founded Scott Wilson
Advanced Technology in 1996 and currently he is responsible for
numerous teams delivering multi-disciplinary services to a diverse
range of UK and overseas clients in the public and private
sectors.
KEITH WALLACE, RAILWAYS

Keith joined Scott Wilson in 1993 and is a Chartered Engineer
and a Chartered Director. He trained with British Rail, and has
played a key part in the emergence of Scott Wilson as a leading
provider of multi-disciplinary solutions on major rail projects in
the UK and overseas, with the business trebling in the last five
years. His technical forte is railway planning and business cases
and has advised government bodies, lending institutions, railway
operators and infrastructure providers in the UK and overseas.
