Scott Wilson have an extensive and thorough familiarity with UK
prison design standards and NOMS core design requirements.
We have been involved as NOMS appointed ‘Lot 1 Designers’ and
Technical Assessors under the Partnering team within ‘NOMS PPC2000
Strategic Alliance’ over the past 6 years or so.
We have been deeply involved with the current ‘urgency’ for
places.
Currently our responsibility rests with the following NOMS
Regions;
- North East (8 prisons)
- North west (17 prisons)
- Yorkshire & Humberside ( 14 prisons)
- West Midlands (14 prisons)
- East Midlands (17 prisons)
Works have varied typically between £30m-£50m with one of £75m and
one of £90m.
Of the last 13 prisons developed the average inmate occupancy
has exceeded 830.
Our work has been involved with the development of Core
Requirements in support of Home Office Prison Requirements.
